Match Review Panel - Round 4 findings
April 14th 2008 09:41
The Match Review Panel has released its findings from the weekend.
Bomber Sam Lonergan can accept a $1950 sanction with an early plea for making negligent contact with an umpire on Friday night. A first offence would incur a $2600 saction, but an early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent.
Brad Johnson can accept the same penalty, for a similar incident from Friday night.
Brad Miller has been charged for engaging in rough conduct against Kangaroo Daniel Pratt, during the first quarter of the match on Saturday. Miller's sanction will remain a one-game penalty due to his poor record.
Geelong's Ryan Gamble has been charged with a Level Three offence against Nick Dal Santo during the second quarter at Telstra Dome on Saturday. He can accept a one-game suspension with an early plea.
The most talked about incident from the weekend will be sent straight to the tribunal. Under current rules Hall is unable to offer an early plea, because it is an offence that drew nine activation points.
Nathan Bassett can accept a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record, with an early plea for a striking offence against Rick Ladson at Aurora Stadium on Sunday.
Nick Maxwell from Collingwood can accept a one-game sanction with an early plea, after a wild elbow to the head of Marc Murphy during the spiteful clash on Sunday.
Steven Dodd will cop one week for a Level Two tripping offence against Jack Riewoldt in Perth yesterday. Cam Mooney will cop the same penalty for a similar incident.
Nick Stevens' high elbow to Magpie Alan Didak was thrown out.
