North Melbourne offer Carey help

North Melbourne have backed Wayne Carey in the wake of the most talked about interview of the year.
Following the ABC's Enough Rope on Monday night Kangaroo's director Mark Brayshaw phoned the former great and gave him the clubs full support.
"From the club's standpoint, I just want to say the club has already behind the scenes wished him well, offered him the support of our club if and when he ever needs it," Brayshaw said at a club function today.
Brayshaw said he knew how important a club was in providing support and guidance for its players
"I can speak from personal experience having gone through some tough times when my sister died a year or two ago," he said.
"Without the unqualified support of the North Melbourne family, Jamie or I wouldn't have made it through.
"That's the message that's there to Wayne Carey who is clearly taking a step or two forward in what's going to be a difficult journey.
"We all would have sat and lent forward on our chairs I think on Monday night and the message is clear: 'If you want our help it's there'."
Brayshaw's comments come after Carey's former coach Neil Craig backed the premiership captain earlier in the week.
"Obviously Wayne needs a fair bit of help, and maybe the vehicle that has made him so great can also be the vehicle that can help him, which is our great game, Craig said.
"I know if he ever chose to seek out our football club to get some help we'd be more than happy to do that."
